Here's a quick update:
- Shane's Joints: I finally had my appointment with the rheumatologist. The drs. believe it is some kind of auto-immunity disease. Rheumatoid Arthritis or Psoriatic Arthritis or 20+ other possibilities. They put me on some steroids in the short term, and also some low-grade chemo treatments to slow down my immune system. The steroids have helped a ton, and my swelling has mostly disappeared. I have a follow-up appointment in a few weeks.
- St. George Trip: We really enjoyed visiting the Jensens last weekend! The cousins had a great time playing together, Adria had her first date (Jaiden set her up with a friend and they had a double date), and the weather was much better than last visit.
- Adria's Prom: Speaking of Adri and dates, she will be going to Prom! She and Rella are practicing making boutineers and corsages right now. Adria was worried that she wouldn't be able to get time off of work for Prom, but it looks like she can get it off now. Adri has enjoyed Macey's for the most part, except for their inflexibility with their scheduling (they only do things a week in advance, making it really hard to plan anything).
- Rella's Wisdom Teeth: Rella had her wisdom teeth out on Wednesday. Not her preferred method to spend Spring Break, but she didn't have school or dance the whole week so it worked out. She has recovered well, and is back to eating normal stuff for the most part.
- Calder's New Bike: Calder has been growing like a weed, and has outgrown his bike for a while now. Yesterday we got him a new bike, and we spent some time at the middle school track so he could get used to hand brakes and gears. He likes it!
- House Update: Both the builders we're getting bids from are delayed, apparently a lot of their subs were also out this last week for Spring Break. So no bids yet...hopefully early next week! We're getting impatient.
We hope all is well with your families! We will be going to visit Mom and Dad in a few hours for dinner and games.
Love,
Shane, Alicia, Adria, Rella, and Calder
