October 12, 2007 (Blackham Update)
I haven’t written a Blackham update in a while ...
Landon
is on the student council for the school. Tuesday they had an all day training
down at BYU. The bus broke down on the way home, making them over an hour late.
He needs to maintain a B average to stay on the council, and his first report
card and parent/teacher conference was all good.
Callahan
just finished up soccer season and is looking forward to basketball. Soccer was
a little tough, with the team only winning one game, and getting creamed in
several others. Callahan was the best player on the team and did score several
goals throughout the season.
Keaton
had a fun season of soccer too. He is growing so fast, as the colder weather
sets in and he pulls his pants out, they are way too small. We just had to get
him some new shoes as well (he was wearing his soccer cleats everyday to
school). Keaton had a really good review from his teacher. She said he is doing
great in math, reading and spelling. He and Callahan love word searches, and I
make them one each week with their spelling words.
“Cooper”man
... our little superhero. His standard outfit has him with his blanket “cape”
hanging down his back, a hat, sunglasses, gloves ... and don’t forget the
horseshoe around his neck. He’s been very into coloring lately. I had to
download and print out SO many pictures, all which were filled in with a
rainbow of hues. He loves preschool and is doing good going to his class on
Sundays, but other than that, he’s likes to just be at home.
Colton
is such a sweet baby. I love putting him down to bed, because he’s so darn
cute. He has to kiss everyone (they all love that part too, even though they
are rather damp and messy smooches) and then we read our story, then he is so
good to just lay right down and go to sleep, both for naps and night-time.
Same
stuff going on for me. We invested in an elliptical machine and that has been a
fun addition to the exercise repertoire. The weather has been nice and we’ve
(the babies and I) have enjoyed taking walks. I often break up my exercise into
15 minute sessions spread out throughout the day.
Gray
is also exercising and eating right and has lost over 25 pounds. The current
housing slowdown has created a bit of stress and uncertainty at work which has
been hard. Hopefully it will all work out.
While derby (pinewood) season is usually in the spring, Gray has had
several derbys, four scheduled for this month!
