Gardens, Horses, and Bears (1 picture) - Romeo and Juliet - Christopher and Kim Letter
March 17, 2013Yesterday (Saturday) Kim and I spent the day together. We went to the temple in the early afternoon and did sealings. We are looking forward to being sealed ourselves in June. Friday was our 9 month anniversary and we are still newlyweds.
Then we did a bunch of shopping, for food and for garden seeds and other miscellaneous stuff. In the evening we stopped by a wedding reception for a daughter of a lady that Kim works with at Davita. Then we went to the Blue Lemon for dinner, and talked, talked and talked.
Back to the rest of the week.
Tuesday evening Kim and I did scouts for the Bears. We practiced some knots this
time.
Kim worked Monday through Friday this week, which is a lot. We miss each other!
Corin had a track meet in Richfield on Wednesday. He did the discus and the 100 meter dash and the shot put.
Thursday evening we went to the Step Family class. We tried to get Seth to go but he had just arrived home from a jazz band concert in Salt Lake. He went with his school band to perform somewhere up at the U of U. He also just got some new sliding wheels for his long board and wanted to try them out.
The class was good. Step families were actually really common in the 1800s, but more of them came about through the death of a spouse, rather than divorce. We talked about money, and how different families handle money, as well as other questions and issues. We enjoy learning more about each other, and getting ideas from other couples. A couple of the "couples" are not married yet, but preparing to be.
Corin got to see Romeo and Juliet at his high school, done by a high quality performing group. Camden and Cayson went in the evening with their Mom, to the same play. Camden said, "They both died at the end."
Thursday morning Aaron left with his Dad and cousins to Arizona for a family get-together, including a baptism on Saturday. Kadan went to Gunnison on the weekend to help some people with computers and websites.
Seth has been practicing with his slider wheels. Courtney has been working at Zupas still. Camden and Cayson went to a party at the Gunnison pool for St. Patrick's day, and they turned the pool green! Corin went to a special one day Especially for Youth Activity up at UVU on Saturday. He said he got seven girls phone numbers! Awesome. He is bold.
The weather was warm this week, and I went outside and did some thatching of the lawn each day. It's looking much better where I have done this.
I gave blood Tuesday and have had a better week since then! We have a doctor's appt. tomorrow and will try and convince her to at least give us a Rx for four to six weekly blood draws to see if it helps.
