Wendy, thanks for your nice update! I love hearing what everyone is doing! It had gone to spam, so we didn't know about it until Chris mentioned it this morning. He resent it to us, but it still didn't come through. We really need to force ourselves to switch totally to g-mail. Mozilla just announced that they are quitting support for Thunderbird, which has been our favorite for years.
Shane was in Vegas Sun. through Wed. this week on a business trip. It would have been funny if some of the family had run into each other there.
Sorry to hear Jaiden has been having stomach issues---glad her celiac test was normal. I've heard of 2 gastroenterologists lately who have recommended Align gummies or capsules lately (pre and pro-biotics together). We are going to try some from Costco next time we go. I take the 20 mg. omeprazole. Every other day keeps my heartburn and swallowing problem in check. One every 5 days worked for me when my weight was lower, so you all (many family members take it) may experiment with taking it less often. My insurance covers it, so I get it free. I have lots of the 40 mg. I can give anyone, that strength treats ulcers. They are capsules, so I can't cut them in half like pills. The hospital and doctor doubled my dose when my red blood cells were so low and they suspected internal bleeding---though the colonoscopy and endoscopy didn't show any ulcers. I do have a hiatal hernia (very common)---so always ask if you have that when they do an endoscopy. If you don't have insurance that covers omeprazole (which is over the counter), check GoodRx for a coupon. It says it can take 1-4 days for you to see the full effect.
I attended a RS mini-class on Tues. on gut health and milk kefir. I half went to see this gal's decorating in her new house. I was surprised at the large turn-out.
Sorry to hear that Josh got hurt playing soccer. I hope that the splint will take care of it, without needing a cast.
Chris is coming to work here today. Nice to have the weather warming up for outside work.
The RS president and secretary came for a nice visit. The Elder's quorum president and counselor came for a good visit another day. My visiting teachers (ministers) are very regular in their monthly visits, which I enjoy.
Alicia, what day is Rella's dance concert? And we need to look around the Lindon yard and discuss how to make it easy maintenance, as you suggested, for future tenants. Good bushes to get. Chris is doing some weeding there in preparation and then we can order a big load of compost to put in an empty space in the back yard to draw from as beds are prepared for bushes.
To all of you who shop at Costco: It might not be until about the first of May, but if any of your see Wave Petunias at your Costco, please let me know right away. Our costco would probably get them at the same time. Especially the bright hot pink color. We don't go to costco too often and things like that are often only there for a week or so. I don't want to miss them! They are larger and less expensive than the nurseries by quite a bit and I want to get a bunch of flats for summer color in our yard----especially to be pretty for selling. The new house might even be finished in September. It will be here before we know it.
Wendy, the young couple from our ward must be finished up at the medical school in St. George. I asked her sister about it and Zeke and Sarah Richards are moving into her parent's home in our ward (diagonally across from the pool) for three years when her parents (our former stake president) leave to be mission president in Kenya Africa this summer. He has some kind of internship here. I will try to find our where. The sister said they loved their time at the St. George medical school.
Nelva and Arnold went to Hurricane and stayed a week with Wesley and Christine and their 4 little kids. It was Wesley's "off-week" at the St. George Hospital. He works every other week. Long hours. I hope he likes his job there.
Is it Baltimore, Maryland where Jase and Ellen will be moving for the summer internship at Johns Hopkins? When will they move? When will he take the m-cat? I wonder if the internship will make enough connections to get into medical school there, if they want. Jase could call Kellen to benefit from his experience with taking the m-cat and applying at medical schools.
Have a wonderful week! Love you all! Mom
