For the family history scavenger hunt, we did the “Discover Famous Relatives” activity. Rella won the quick response contest. Wendy, thanks for your update. Cayson isn’t getting a smart phone until he is 18. Go with a Gabb phone - they are what teens can use for what they need. We did get Integrity for a few hours on Saturday.
Last night we had Krystal and Boris over for dinner, and that was fun. Boris is changing careers and is planning on law school with Krystal, after working a year to earn money. Big change! Courtney received an internship with the Church History department - writing new content for some of the church history sites. She is really excited.
Corin and Kylie have been painting their house, and Christine and Kadan came to help this weekend. Corin got a job at the gypsum plant in Salina, and starts Tuesday. Seth and Aspen got a new dog - an English Setter named “Woody”. See the pic below. Camden came Thursday and spent the entire weekend here. He took us to see “Companions” at the Theater with his free tickets. It was OK - only two people in the entire theater other than me and Camden and Cayson and Kim, so that was easy to social distance!
Cayson went with me on Wednesday to work at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. He has been wanting to go on a Wednesday - he is off school that day as part of their Covid protocol. He was a good worker and wants to go again. He has a bike on layaway and has earned over $200 towards it. He was really into biking last year but his bike needed many repairs.
Conner got the ceiling in for the new office - it looks good. And, he hung the new door to the sauna. The walls will be part wood and part rock work that I will do. So I’ve been working diligently to finish the fireplace rock improvement, and touching up some spots on the kitchen backsplash. Then I need to finish some on the window well project… and THEN I can focus on the rock work in the office. But, the office isn’t to that stage yet anyway.
