Christopher and Kim~Integrity, Hiking, BIG Rock Polisher, Dinners, Kiva Loans

Update March 22, 2021

It’s been a full week as usual. Sunday evening we had Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner, and Camden brought Cayson back from Midvale, so we had them also. We had a chicken dinner and played Rummikub and ping pong.

Saturday we played with Integrity in the morning. We loaded up my new big rock polisher. She and I had the following interchange.

Integrity: Grandpa, were you a grandpa when you were little?

Me: No, I only became a grandpa when you were born. To be a grandpa, you have to have a grandchild, and you are my first grandchild.

She thought about that for a little bit.

Integrity: Well, who were you when you were little?

Me: I was just me, but little like you.

We really wanted to reach out and connect with family this week. We took Conner and Amber and Camden out to Cracker Barrel on Tuesday evening, which was Amber’s day off. Even though Conner and Amber live here, it’s good to get some focused conversation. Camden received a scholarship to Snow College and is leaning toward going there in the fall.

Then on Wednesday evening we went out with Krystal and Boris to Wallaby’s in Orem. They told us all about their trip to Puerto Rico and their upcoming dreams and plans. They may both go to law school in Puerto Rico.

Corin and Kylie came by Saturday during the day to pick up the stuff we have for raising little chicks - food and water dispenser, light, box, etc. They will raise some for us and for them and we will pay them the same price it would cost us to buy pullets (young chickens ready to lay). They will deliver them when the appropriate size. They will take my Oxford English Dictionary and put it in their house.

Then in the evening we met Corin and Kylie at the Cracker Barrel and had dinner with them and learned more about their new house and all about Corin’s job. He does work the early shift (6 to 2) for a week and then the swing shift (2 to 10) for a week. He likes the earlier schedule better.

This was date 643 for me and Kim - I am a lister.

I worked on the rock work for under the small wood stove in the office.

Charles Hoskinson gave the Keynote speaker for the Blockchain Africa Conference on Thursday. It was very good - 16 minute  https://youtu.be/CGEs99I6qV8

Have a superlative week! I’ve also been doing a lot of family history week, and we had many of the younger generation participate in our Scavenger hunt family history challenge yesterday. Last Monday Cayson and I went and worked at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The picture here is my Grandma Lucille Erskine in about 1929.. Aaron is still doing well on his mission.
