Jensen Update (Nov2, 2009)

Hey everyone: Hope you all had a fun Halloween!
I am glad it is over…now if we can quickly get rid of all of this candy!

We have had lots of expenses lately and are feeling very broke! In the past two months we have spent almost $2000.00 on car repairs. Last month I brought my wedding ring in to get it fixed and resized – one little diamond was missing and almost all of the prongs were loose. It came to $450! Ouch! Our flexible spending money for medical expenses is gone for the year and so Rick had me postpone all of our scheduled doctor’s and dentist visits until January. Our downstairs computer is going to give out on us soon, our upstairs computer needs a new printer and almost all of our blinds are broken and need to be replaced. But it is way too expensive and so we just have to live with it for now.

On the up-side, everyone is currently healthy and the kids are doing great in school. Jase did well in his first Math competition (I have to applaud him for this Math club thing because how many kids do you know will stay after school and take math tests, just for fun?). He also signed up for his school triathlon. He is looking forward to the Geography challenge in the Spring. Jared just got bumped up to the advanced math group in his class and so now he goes in with a different teacher for math. He complained that now he will have more homework. In school their class just ran the mile and Jared got third place out of his grade and got an awesome time – I said he needs to start running and join the track and cross country team when he gets older!

Janika is busy becoming a little social butterfly -- enjoying friends, clothes, hair and all of that teenage girl type stuff. She had fun at her Halloween dance and the boy who has a huge crush on her finally got the guts to ask her to dance. Janelle is doing awesome with her reading and other school subjects and she and Jaiden are both making lots of new friends in school. Josh is doing much better in pre-school (I was getting really close to pulling him out thinking he wasn’t ready after several melt-downs but now he is loving it). The baby cruises and climbs all over the place. She keeps getting stuck in the magazine holder by the couch since she uses it to climb up on the couch. Today she climbed up on the toilet seat and couldn’t get back down! She has stood up on her own in the middle of the room several times but hasn’t taken any steps yet.

Well, that’s our update in a nutshell. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Wendy
