Chris&Kim ~Aaron in Bellevue, Ping Pong

Email Update February 1, 2021

Jeni, thanks for your Blackham Update. I have a pair of glasses and I used them while driving a couple years ago but then my eyes seemed to improve. That's good news on everyone's work situation.

Monday Aaron was set apart as a missionary over at our Stake Church Building. Seth and Aspen came and Cayson came with us also. So at that moment he became Elder Aaron Taylor again and then the next morning Parker took him to the airport to fly to Seattle. The only news we have is a small Facebook note that his first area is in Bellevue, across Lake Washington from Seattle.

The ping-pong table has been a hit. Kim and Cayson are getting better and better. I play also, but I spend more time in that room working on the rock fireplace, filling in the cracks. So sometimes I get literally “hit” with a ball in the back or in the head.

Boris hurt his eye one evening when one of his patients assaulted him at the intensive care unit. He said it’s doing better now. Conner’s leg is improving and he can limp around on it now, but he can’t work for as many hours as he has used to. He has to build back up his strength.

At Kim’s work they finally hired another medical assistant, but she’s not trained yet. It’s difficult for her to get the background tasks done once the calls start coming in and the patients need to be seen and handled. So several days this last week we got up at 5:o’clock and she headed straight to work. She is back on a smoothie kick so I make her one each morning. Then Cayson gets the leftovers. I get quite a lot of work done between 5 o’clock and 8 o’clock in the morning!

We had Integrity on Saturday and we played a lot of ping-pong. Cayson built her a fort and we read some books. Integrity liked to pick up all of the balls and then throw all of them at once from both sides. Kim had me buy a 50 pack of ping-pong balls. If integrity emptied out her container first, she would throw her hands in the air and yell “I win”!

We did the compare a face activity for the Westra Cousins Sunday family history scavenger hunt. I’ve collected all the results so far, but won’t include them here since I have a lot of other pics. The Jensen kids and the Lindon Westras got creative, finding younger pics of their parents in order to increase the look a like percentage!

Here is the link to do the Compare A Face activity.

In listening to President Nelson’s former talks, this one below was very good, titled “Combatting Spiritual Drift - Our Global Pandemic”, given to the Parliament of World Religions in 1993.

Here is Prosperity Poem 108 - Earth. 121,317 poems read. 70 Patrons. 4409 people signed up for weekly free delivery of each new poem.

Have a super week!
