It's been a while! Here is a quick recap of recent events:
- Oct 31: Halloween -- Adria went to a party at a friend's house, Rella and Calder went trick or treating for a short bit (much shorter than Rella wanted; Calder didn't last).
- Nov 2: Adria turned 16!
- Nov 9: It was announced that Adobe is purchasing Workfront for $1.5 billion. Me and one of the co-founders had decided back in 2012 that Workfront should pivot and sell primarily to Marketing departments, and that ended up being what attracted Adobe. So that was cool to hear (and we will finally be able to cash out a bit of equity which will help with the new house).
- Nov 17: SimpleNexus raised a Series B of $108 million, a lot of which will go to expanding the company. So I'll be doing a lot of hiring.
- Nov 19: Calder turned 9!
- Nov 24: Adria got her license! She was so excited and nervous, so we were all very glad that she passed!
- Nov 25: Adria had an interview at Macey's (to be a bagger), and got offered a job on the spot! She starts her training on Dec. 5.
- Nov 26: Thanksgiving -- We hosted the Green side of the family for a nice dinner, then around 7pm we packed up and drove to Zion National Park.
- Nov 27: Zions -- We had breakfast at the hotel, then went on a few hikes. We left the park around 4-something, and stopped off at Kolob Canyon on the way back, then drove on to Beaver to eat at the Crazy Cow Cafe, then got home around 9:30pm.
- Nov 28: Alicia took Calder to see Tarzan at Hale Center Theater, and I took the girls out for Chinese food. Then we got a Christmas tree from Home Depot.
We are working with the architect still on the house plans, he is keeping to my original plans pretty well but making it better. Once that is done, we'll go to bid with our top two builders and then see what we need to change to keep it under budget 
. We're hoping to break ground around March.
