Westra Family and Friends (November 9, 2020)
We are heading up this morning for Kim’s surgery - in Salt Lake. She was tested Tuesday afternoon for Covid and we received her negative result on Friday. It will be at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, and I’ll go to Grandma and Grandpa’s house to rest during the surgery, and then go pick her up. She has this entire week off of work.
Kim did the Relief Society lesson yesterday (over Zoom) - and they had 23 ladies attending. I listened to it all and she did a great job! Right after the lesson she got several texts from ladies in the ward telling her that she did a good job. She focused on President Nelson’s talk about Faith in the Future.
Saturday evening Kim and I watched The Healer, on Netflix. It was recommended by Camden, and we enjoyed it. We also received a facetime call from Integrity, which was really fun. She wants a camera for her birthday, so I found one on Amazon that we think she will love!
Prosperity Poem 98 is written, and Thea has done the backgrounds, but I haven’t built the page yet for it on the Prosperity Poem site. I’ll include below the version that “won”.
Thursday Corin and I went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house to work. We were there when Derek brought the birthday present for Grandma. All of us siblings went in on a painting of their house (since they will be moving). See the pics above. The weather was still beautiful on Thursday.
Winter seemed to arrive on Saturday - but the Autumn has been lovely, allowing more time than usual to get all the garden and yard put to bed, and more rock work done. Cayson received a negative test for Covid and I was able to take him back to school on Tuesday. He was glad to be back. Aaron came on Sunday - I had him work on the Soma Cube and he finally did it.
