Westra Family and Friends (June 1, 2020)
It's been a busy week, so I may forget some stuff. Conner and Amber bought an RV to live in and prepare for their trip.
Congratulations to Krystal on her new job as a paralegal! She starts June 8 and is excited. One of the lawyers in the firm used to live across the street from us, but that connection is not what got her the job. She only found out that it was him during the interview.
She and Boris went camping during the week. Happy 83rd birthday to dad/grandpa on Thursday. Happy birthday to Vikki on Saturday and Jaiden yesterday. And congratulations to Jared getting home from his mission to Illinois!
We had lots of family this week. Monday was Memorial Day and we had Seth, Courtney, and Integrity over for dinner. I took Integrity outside while the other talked after dinner. Our dryer is broken so we are using clothespins on some ropes we have strung from the apricot tree to the fence. The bright clothespins caught her eye and I took one down and showed it to her. Then I took some of Aaron’s socks and showed how we drape it over and then “snap” on the clothespin.
I tried to teach her the word clothes-pins. I would tell her and then she would repeat, “clothes pins”. But she would forget and then I’d tell her again and she would repeat it. Finally I asked her one more time, “What are these called?” She said thoughtfully, “Hmmmm”, and then exclaimed confidently, “Snap its for socks!” We thought that was a pretty good name, so that’s what we use now.
I went up to work Tuesday at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, and Camden and Cayson came for a couple hours also. Thursday I went to get more rocks at West Mountain.
Kadan and Christine came Thursday night. Aaron moved to Camden’s room so they could have the downstairs room for three nights. They had some activities Friday but we did get to see them a lot Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we had a dinner with them and Courtney, Seth, Integrity, and Krystal. Then Sunday Kadan and Christine had church with us and we had a dinner with them and Corin and Kylie. Krystal and Boris stopped by after dinner to visit.
And, we had Seth and Aspen over for dinner Tuesday - and it was fun to visit with them. They have their one year anniversary this weekend. Our neighborhood did a drive by parade with all the graduating seniors in the area.
Our dishwasher has not been working well, the top shelf does not clean at all. Our gas dryer went out, so we have been hanging clothes on the line to dry. Both of our lawnmowers were not working. I had one of my older workers take each one into a small engine repair. We will get the newest mower fixed for the cheapest price.
I did get a few new Prosperity Poem Patrons - here is poem 78 -

Have a super week!
