I didn't know what Chris was talking about. I just checked spam and her letter was there, plus emails from Derek, Shane, and Jen! And several other good ones.
It's good when you kids mention things to us or we wouldn't know we were missing stuff!
Scary fire Wendy!
Chris & Camden are here working. Cayson has been working with Wayne (new stepdad) on his lawn business.
I just gave Chris and Dad haircuts.
Scott finally made it home last night about 11:30 or so after his surgery! Said he didn't sleep well last night, but can already stand and sit longer.

June 22 ...
Scott and Amy, thanks so much for hosting yesterday in your beautiful home and yard! You always do such a good job and your yard works so well and the weather was perfect! Hope you are recuperated!
Wendy, I guess it is good that all of your family ended up sleeping elsewhere---when we got home, the upstairs air conditioner wasn't working, so it was too warm to sleep comfortably and I couldn't fall asleep until 2 a.m.
We were able to get a repairman out this afternoon, but he was unable to tell exactly what the problem was. He did get it running, but didn't know if it would stop again as soon as he left or last awhile. It will be 26 years old in Nov., so if it quits again, we'll get a new one.
"Just Right Air" company is certainly well run. They must have good leadership. From the girl who answers the phone---so bubbly, saying "How can we make you more comfortable today?" and "to whom do I have the pleasure of speaking," then proceeds to call you by name--empathetic--to the repairmen, and everything. They have been well trained. We had them install our 2 furnaces a few years ago and we were impressed then, from them covering their shoes, sending out names and photos of repairmen ahead of time, and sending a copy of the invoice to our email as soon as he left today. And free 6-month checkups on our furnaces. Probably cheaper places, but we are impressed with the service.
Wendy, were Rick and Jared able to find and buy him a car in half a day and get him home to St. George in time for his 5 p.m. start to his new job? Pretty difficult to do! Are you and the other kids safely home---you couldn't fit everybody in your car.................. Alicia and Shane--did you find enough bedding for your 6 extra houseguests............... Bet they all had fun!
Very nice Father's Day, thanks to all! Love you!
From Jen: We came home to a warm house too ... the power was out and had been for a couple hours. Had a 10:30 repair estimate (our neighborhood Facebook group is good at sharing info, and happily the phones still work with cell service) but it was back around 9:00. At least it was still light for the most part (Gray pulled out flashlights/lanterns but I don't think we ended up needing them). And very happy the power came back on in time to cool it down a little and have the fans running for sleep. Quick car buy huh? Keaton's process took forever ... every step of the way. Literally months and months. From dealing with the insurance on the original accident before it was finally determined to be totalled, to test driving several cars before finding one, to the actual purchase (there were complications) then waiting for the title, which got lost and had to be reissued ... The accident leaving the truck undrivable was end of November and just last month did Keaton get everything finished up (bought the car end of January). We almost couldn't fit the five of us and the water balloon filler in the car - but made it work. Colton was a little cramped.
From Alicia: Yup! We got everyone settled nicely. Wendy slept in Adria’s room, Janelle slept in Rella’s room, Josh slept in the hammock in Calder’s room (proof of how much Calder wanted a roommate that he would let someone else have the hammock), and the rest of the girls made a bunk room out of the family room with some on the couch and some on the floor. Adria and I took her friend from TX to the airport early this morning (left before 5:30), so we are hoping for an early bedtime tonight. Sorry to hear about your AC! And it’s good you could get it fixed so quickly!
From Wendy: We just got back. HOT here!! 105 degrees. Josh just left for his soccer game, I feel sorry for him having to play in this heat! Sorry about your AC Mom! Hope you get it fixed quickly! Too bad about your power outage, Jen, and the insurance problems with Keaton after his accident! Mom, yes Jared did get a car and drove it home in time for his first day of work. I was praying that he would be able to find something quickly! He ended up getting a 2008 Mazda 6I touring. Maroon color. I haven't seen it yet. I'm glad he found something! Thank you, Alicia and Shane, for letting everyone stay over! The kids loved spending time with their cousins!
